ALPHA CHI OMEGA
ALPHA CHI OMEGA SUPPORTS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS
Alpha Chi Omega was the first woman's fraternity to take on domestic violence awareness. Nationally, every chapter of Alpha Chi works with their own local woman's shelter, to give back in their own cities. Alpha Chi Omega here at the University of Arkansas is proud to support the Peace at Home Family Shelter, an amazing place here in the Northwest Arkansas area that works to end family violence and empower victims to thrive by encouraging their self-determination and courage. They also work hard to promote healthy relationships and communities through education, outreach, and advocacy. Additionally, Alpha Chi Omega at the University of Arkansas works with Magdalene Serenity House, a healing sanctuary serving women who have experienced trauma, sexual exploitation, addiction, and incarceration. Each semester Alpha Chi Omega holds various events such as percentage nights at local restaurants, Pizza Pie with Alpha Chi, and volunteering at the Peace at Home Thrift Shop all to give back to a great shelter.
